8. How about tech/product related? Is it possible to blog about it.

9. As a cancer survivor, with previous technical and freelance writing experience, I submitted three samples of writing to be a blogger for the Cancer Blog, and have not heard back. However, on Judith Meskill's blog, it does state that if they are interested, you will hear from them.
"Please know that we receive thousands of requests to blog with us, and understand that it is often not feasible to respond to each and every request in either a personal or timely manner. Thank you again for thinking of us and happy blogging trails!"
In the comments above, Barb Dybwad states that contact is made "within a few days, if not before!"
Since it has been more than a few days, and I have not received acknowledgment of my submission, I have to go with the general assumption of editorial non-interest.
I do not personally know anyone at Weblogs,Inc to send email to, but I would like to thank you here for your time and consideration, if mine was one of the thousands you reviewed.

10. Yes, I have also not been notified. I applied on Friday evening and seeing as it's Tuesday evening now, I'm just wondering about Barb's quote (whether it applies to weekends, etc.)
I also had the Google Web Accelerator installed, and that is known to prevent forms from being submitted so I don't even really know if my application got submitted.
WIN, you're keeping me on the edge of my seat!
11. Hi folks -- the rate of incoming applications has skyrocketed (and that's an understatement!). As you can imagine, we're also dealing with quite a load of new paperwork in this transition. Please be patient, we'll get back to you as soon as humanly possible! Thanks!

14. Well, it would be nice to hear from Weblogs, Inc as to what is happening with our requests.

15. Thanks for chiming in here in the comments. As Barb mentioned we receive an insane number of applications to blog with us, and if you read my ''Blogging Block Broken'' post, as Dalene did, you know that I also stated:
"If your blogging style and topics do not match up with one of our current or soon-to-be-launched blogging opportunities, we will keep your sample posts on file but, you will *only* hear back from us if we believe that you are a match for one of our *open* blogging opportunities."
Patience is key. Thanks again!

1. Hi, how long does it usually take to notify the bloggers you are interested in after they apply? Thanks
