Joel Keller has posted an excellent interview with two of the creators of the fabulous new ABC comedy Sons & Daughters, Fred Goss and Nick Holly. Here's an excerpt:
Joel Keller: What experiences did you bring in to writing the show? Are there elements of both your families in the show?
Fred Goss: Absolutely. Nick and I are both products of divorce, and teen pregnancy, the whole Jewish wife scenario is certainly taken from my life -- I'm going through the same thing with my wife in raising our kids Jewish and I'm not Jewish -- so a lot of the ideas definitely sprang out of our own personal experience with our modern extended families.
Nick Holly: Then we change it so we're not sued. But the inspiration is the worlds we grew up in.

1. I use to love your show until last night. I found last night episode to be very offensive to those who are of Indian decent. There was no need for an anology between India and Indian people and Motel. Also your show is very offensive toward Jewish people. It shows how ignorant you are and the lack of education on your part.
