Moving on up at WIN: Judith Meskill and Brad Hill take on new roles.

We've had a massive growth spurt in 2006 here at Weblogs, Inc. and as a result we're bumping people up. I'm thrilled to report two promotions today that will have a huge impact on both the growth of our business and our ability to produce quality blogs.

Judith Meskill (right), currently our Editorial Director, will be moving to Chief Operating Officer of Weblogs, Inc. and work with me on the operations and development of our business. Judith was one of our first bloggers, was our first editorial director, and helped us grow from 40 to more than 160 bloggers in just over one year. She also managed our side of the integration of Weblogs, Inc. and AOL.com. Judith is wildly effective, keeps everyone focused on the goal, and has the dubious distinction of being the only member of the management team who has not taken a vacation since our acquisition by AOL six months ago! (We're forcing her to take one next month!)

Brad Hill, another one of our early bloggers (and the author of Blogging for Dummies), will be moving from Associate Producer to Editorial Director. Brad is an editorial machine, a great manager, and has the unique ability to see and argue all sides of a debate. Our management team prides itself on our ability to move quickly and "fail fast" as Esther Dyson would say. I could write ten paragraphs about Judith and Brad, but I'll let their work speak for itself. Congratulations, and we're looking forward to taking it to the next level!
